Basic Chinese Lesson , Bargain for a Cheap Price

Most commonly used phrases in Mandarin when a buyer bargains in Mandarin. We usually bargain when we shop in the markets or by the street stalls, not so much of the department stores where prices are fixed. However in Taiwan, when you shop at the stalls, the salesgirls or boys there may not be the owner themselves; since they are hired to work there, they probably do not have the right to adjust the price for you but it's still worth trying! I bargained a lot when I was in HK years ago and in places full of countless tourists, GOT TO BARGAIN!

As the the video approaches the end, wait a bit for a silly alternative ending. I think sometimes we merely bargain to gain a sense of achievement that we hardly pay much attention to the given price....just as the buyer in this video..... :P

Anyways, I hope this lesson comes in handy when you shop in Mandarin speaking country. :) Jia you!
