After spending one week visiting the east coast of Taiwan (花蓮 Hualien -> 台東 Taitung -> 綠島 Green Island), I am now back to the Networking! I really enjoyed the trip and I took quite a few new videos too! Some new pictures are up at the gallery section. A new video will be ready in a couple of weeks. :)

Thank you all very much for all your support in my teaching in the past year! :) Next week is Chinese New Year (Jan 23rd - Jan 29th), I am taking a trip to the east coast of Taiwan for a vacation. As you see in my latest video, whatever I have been using cannot live up to the demand of high quality videos I need for YouTube. I finally had enough money to purchase a new computer. My wish for a better computer has been held on wait. 

- 10/19: Ordered a brand new Macbook Pro

- 10/24: Expected arrival Date

- 10/22: WOW! Unexpected upgrade for FREE! PRICE: Wait for one more month until 11/28.

After one month...

- 11/22 Call from the delivery company saying there was a crack on the shipping box. 

- 11/23 Received anyway after a month and half wait. BUT there is a huge INDENTION on the screen. 

-11/23 Called to Apple to ask for a replacement. Informed the need to wait for one more week!!!!! 

- 11/30 Finally received a new computer from Apple, plus a free magic mouse. :)

「好啦! 我放棄了。

原本想說等我拿到新的電腦再上傳一部新的影片，但很不幸的是，我在十月中訂購的電腦，竟然要等到這個月十一月底才拿得到。距離現在都還有一段時間，SO HERE’S AN UPDATE。我一直以來所使用的電腦已經五年多了。它的速度實在是跟不上高畫質的影片。每次編輯的時候 ，三不五時就給我當機。所以我決定乾脆買一台電腦好了。在這也要再次感謝所有捐款的支持者，不論金額多寡，每一份心意我都心存感激唷！

接下來，是我去參加一個朋友生日派對的影片。在那派對，我遇到了許多觀看我的影片學中文的國際學生。我們來聽聽他們怎麼說。

上個周末，一大清早，還在睡夢中的我耳邊傳來一陣喧嘩。去查看之後，原來是附近的廟口有一場布袋戲的表演。在這帶你們來看一段台灣傳統文化：布袋戲表演的影片。」

Here's a quick update of my recent life: 

- Technical Absence 

My computer is 5 years old!!! It always takes hours to edit a video because a slow computer just can't keep up with the Peggy who is always on the go! So I finally decided to purchase a Macbook Pro. [Many thanks to Loy, a viewer from Trinidad for his donation!] Because I ordered it online from an Apple store, for some reasons, it never arrives. Now I await for its arriva then I will be able to bring you better quality videos!!! 

- Opportunity to Teach in the U.S.A. 

A month ago, I became a Candidate of 2012 - 2013 Fulbright FLTA (Foreign Language Teaching Assistant). In other words, I will have a chance to teach Mandarin in a university in the States for 9 months next year. I will keep you all posted once I know more! Peggy Lee could be right on your campus!!! :D
